Who We Are

At Desert Hills Animal Hospital, we understand the value of the Human-Animal bond and how important your furry family members are to you. Because of that, we strive to provide the best healthcare possible for your pets. We will take the time necessary to give them the individual attention that they need and deserve. We will also make sure that we answer your questions while we do it.

Our Doctors and staff take pride in providing thorough, compassionate, friendly, and up-to-date care for all of your pet's medical and surgical needs. We are a progressive hospital.

Expert Veterinary Care in St. George, UT Since 2019

Our newest location, Desert Hills Animal Hospital, started in November of 2019. Dr. Scott Hannig became a partner in Red Hills Animal Hospital in 2007. And in September of 2013, Dr. Esplin and Dr. Hannig opened the doors to their new state-of-the-art hospital. Dr. Kade Farnsworth joined the hospital as an associate in 2016 and later achieved ownership in 2019. Dr Caleb Gwilliams and Dr. Mark Robison joined the hospital as associates in 2019.

We appreciate the many wonderful clients who entrust us with the care of their loved pets. Thus allowing us to fulfill our primary mission, which is to improve your life by helping your pet to be as healthy, happy, and comfortable as possible.

  • Dental radiographs: Taken with every dental procedure so we don’t miss diseases hiding under the gums.

  • Laser Surgery: Less pain, less bleeding, and faster healing.

  • Advanced monitoring of surgical or critical patients: Doppler blood pressure monitors, Oxygen %, Respiratory rates, temperature, ECG monitoring.

  • Onsite Comprehensive Laboratory: Results in minutes.

  • Tonometry: Allows us to screen for glaucoma and eye diseases.

  • Surgical specialist: Travels to our practice to do complex or specialized surgeries.
